Informational signs are already placed in the hides of the supplementary feeding points (SPF) of Isona and of Bassella. What is the SFP network and what species of fauna are using it can be more easily known.
Explanatory signs as you can see in the pictures are already placed in the SPF of Isona and of Bassella for scavenger raptors, managed by Trenca. They serve to spread out the values and the knowledge of these birds, which are key to the ecological balance of ecosystems, an essential step for their conservation. They also contain general information about this initiative, that aims to ease the lack of food that scavenger birds of prey are facing and to support the reintroduction of the Black Vulture (Aegypius monachus) in the Pyrenees.
The reintroduction of the Black Vulture in the Pyrenees is a project promoted by the Departament d’Agricultura, Ramaderia, Pesca, Alimentació i Medi Natural de la Generalitat de Catalunya / Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, Food and Environment of the Autonomous Government of Catalonia in the National Hunting Reserve of Boumort, and by the Fundació Catalunya – La Pedrera / Catalunya – La Pedrera Foundation in the Alinyà Natural Site; GREFA and Trenca are two NGOs involved in the implementation of the project. The production and placing of these signs has been posible thaks to the Diputació de Lleida – “la Caixa” collaboration agreement.
